KISSIDUGU
~WEST AFRICAN DRUM AND DANCE ENSEMBLE~
Kissidugu, a West African Percussion and Dance troupe, was established
in late 2004 by Master Drummer and Dancer Fara Tolno from Guinea, West
Africa. The mission of Kissidugu, an organization based in Boulder, is
to spread the beauty of West African music, dance, drumming, culture,
history, and language.
"Our troupe is a merging of cultures. Our members are of varied ancestry
and backgrounds. Drawn by the strong pull of this powerful music and
dance, we have all come together. We share a common goal. Under the
direction of our teacher Fara Tolno we are learning, holding and sharing the
rich musical tradition of Guinea, West Africa.
While performing, it is our intention to create “a safe place” for
people of all cultures and ancestry to re-connect through this powerful
music."
TUATHA
Tuatha plays a psychedelic collage of trance dance, world groove, and tribal fusion that
transports the listener on a visually evocative musical pilgrimage to indigenous lands,
shamanic visions, and the realms of the spirits. All original compositions on an electro
acoustic blend of strings, flutes, voices, drums, and percussion inspired by African,
Middle Eastern, Indian, Eastern European, Gypsy, Latin, Celtic, and Native American
music to energize your spirit, move your body, spark your imagination, and elevate your
soul.

Deva
Dancing with Arlyn
Begin your journey to the underworld by deepening, fully, into the moment
through the body. Set to a world-beat crafted mix, Arlyn will guide you
on an experiential journey using breath, attention, movement and intention.
There are no steps to learn. There are no rules for how it's supposed
to look. The invitation is to say "YES" to ourselves and one
another, fully, and let that guide our spontaneous expression.
Laughing Monkey Chant is an emotive group movement
and voice experience. In it we explore primitive/pre/non human ways of
being, acting and connecting. LMC is an approach to creating, exploring,
and loosing our selves into the group mind. It contains elements of Balinese
Kecak, Sufi Zikr, Laughter Yoga, and Tai Chi Clowning.
